IE-Sicherheitslücke - Microsoft bringt außerplanmäßiges Update - MS10-002

Microsoft hat wie angekündigt einen außerplanmäßigen Security Bulletin für alle unterstützten Versionen von Internet Explorer ab Version 6 veröffentlicht.

Das Microsoft Security Bulletin MS10-002 beinhalten Sicherheitsupdates durch die acht Sicherheitslücken in Internet Explorer geschlossen werden. Die schwerwiegendere Sicherheitsanfälligkeit kann Remotecodeausführung ermöglichen, wenn ein Benutzer eine speziell gestaltete Webseite mit Internet Explorer anzeigt. Für Endbenutzer, deren Konten mit weniger Benutzerrechten konfiguriert sind, kann dies geringere Auswirkungen haben als für Benutzer, die mit administrativen Benutzerrechten arbeiten.

    Dieses Sicherheitsupdate schließt auch die Internet Explorer Zero-Day Sicherheitslücke die für zielgerichtete Angriffe auf Google und andere US-Unternehmen ausgenutzt wurde.

Die Updates können entweder über die Windows-eigene automatische Update-Funktion, über Microsoft Update oder über das Download Center bezogen werden.

  • Die Mehrheit der Benutzer hat die automatische Aktualisierung aktiviert und muss keine Maßnahmen ergreifen, da dieses Sicherheitsupdate automatisch heruntergeladen und installiert wird. Benutzer, die die automatische Aktualisierung nicht aktiviert haben, müssen auf Updates prüfen und dieses Update manuell installieren.
