Foursquare hat für die kostenlose Social Networking Software Foursquare für BlackBerry® ein neues Update auf die Version 1.9.6 veröffentlicht und stellt diese ab sofort sowohl auf der eigenen Website als auch über RIMs BlackBerry App World™ zum kostenlosen Download zur Verfügung.
Die Foursquare App nutzt kontextbezogene Daten, damit Benutzer schnell an den jeweiligen Standorten einchecken können. Benutzer müssen nicht erst ihren Standort eingeben oder aus einer langen Liste auswählen, denn die App zeigt nur die nahe Umgebung an.
