Der FRITZ!Box-Hersteller AVM hat für die Internationale Edition des VDSL/DSL Modems und WLAN- und LAN-Routers FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 7340 ein neues Firmware-Update mit der Versions-Nummer 99.05.05 veröffentlicht. Einen Überblick über die Neuerungen und Verbesserungen findet ihr weiter unten.

FRITZ!Box 7340: Gigabit-Ethernet und NAS-Funktionalität

Die neue FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 7340 setzt bei Breitbandverbindungen ebenfalls auf ein integriertes VDSL- und ADSL-Modem. Mit zwei Gigabit-Ethernet-Anschlüssen, schnellem WLAN N (2,4 GHz oder 5 GHz) und zwei USB 2.0-Anschlüssen erfüllt die neue FRITZ!Box alle Ansprüche an die Heimvernetzung. Zur Telefonie Ausstattung gehören Festnetzanschluss, zwei analoge Nebenstellen und eine DECT-Basis für Schnurlostelefone. Mit dem integrierten Druck- und Mediaserver (UPnP AV) ist die FRITZ!Box 7340 die Multimedia-Basis für das gesamte Netzwerk – auch bei ausgeschaltetem Computer. Netzwerkspeicher und weitere Funktionen sind über die FRITZ!Box-Benutzeroberfläche einfach zu bedienen und leicht zu verwalten. Der internationale Marktstart ist für das zweite Quartal 2010 vorgesehen.
