CCleaner ist eine kostenlose System-Optimierungs- Software welches zuverlässig und schnell das System von überflüssigen Dateien befreit - z.B. entfernt das Programm Datenspuren aus Browserprogrammen. Dadurch wird Speicherplatz freigegeben und das System wird auch beschleunigt. Ganz nebenbei das Tool für Ordnung in der Registrierungs-Datenbank von Windows in dem es von alten und ungenutzten Einträgen bereinigt, sowie Einträge von Windows Explorer oder Windows Media Player. Aber auch temporäre Dateien als Datenmüll von Drittanbietern werden identifiziert und gelöscht.
